The Senior Cyber Security Specialist is the primary security services advocate and manager for Optus’ Government Integrated Client Services (ICS) supporting the Department of the Australian Taxation Office. The ITSM has responsibility for the effective security framework lifecycle management, organic growth, and satisfaction of our government customer.
This role will contribute to the development of strategic business plans and engage with key customer stakeholders, including at the executive level. They will apply a continuous improvement process to deliver security services, whilst maintaining cadence with changes in the Australian Government ICT Security Manual (ISM) and to a lesser extent, the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). Operationally, the ITSM supports all facets of the ICT security life-cycle, including project support (in the form of managing and advising projects on ICT security, including security accreditation artefacts); and Operations support (in the form of vulnerability management, security incident response, security reporting, security awareness training)
You're also responsible for producing and maintaining the ICT security framework used to deliver contract-based deliverables to the customer, establish and maintain security accreditation across account services, and deliver and/or review security risk assessments and management plans. This role includes a customer facing element, as well as engagement with other Optus stakeholders to ensure that customer expectations are appropriately managed, opportunities for improvement and/or growth are realized, and delivery is consistent with the contract and customer expectations.
Your skills to pay the bills
- Requires an outstanding knowledge of, and experience with Cyber Security and Information Security disciplines
- Completed tertiary qualifications in IT
- Managing security in complex ICT environments and finding pragmatic effective solutions to diverse and complex issues
- Managing security in large managed service account
- Experience in applying Federal Government security policy
- Extensive proven experience with, (as a minimum), ISO2700x or ISM, and PSPF
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and designing Security Governance models and frameworks
