The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking highly skilled Information Senior Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) to join our cybersecurity team supporting U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure information systems and networks for USSOUTHCOM. 

This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs  

  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks  

  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with DoD and USSOUTHCOM requirements  

  • Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to address identified security gaps  

  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including system categorization, control selection, and assessment activities  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of IT operations  

  • Provide technical expertise on information security matters to leadership and stakeholders Monitor and analyze security events, and participate in incident response activities as needed Stay current with emerging cyber threats and security technologies, recommending improvements to USSOUTHCOM's security posture 


Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field of study 

  • 7+ years of experience in information systems security engineering  

  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies  

  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners Familiarity with DoD security policies, NIST guidelines, and the RMF process  

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills  

  • US citizen with active Secret security clearance 


Desired:

  • CISSP, CASP+, or GIAC Security Expert (GSE)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
