The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled System Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida.
The System Engineer SME will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Enterprise Operations in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). The position is contingent upon award of the program.
Responsibilities:
Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, implement, test, or evaluate systems; prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other tech documentation
Utilizes systems engineering expertise to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
Analyzes, designs, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements; assesses systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and make recommendations that inform key technical decisions
Performs systems engineering analyses and uses the results along with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, or costs
Provides full lifecycle IT services for Cooperative Situational Information Integration (CSII), a Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) product that enables a web-based situational awareness picture; integrates CSII IT into the ESD and the Joint DoDIN Operations Center (JDOC)
Analyzes system requirements, designs, analysis, and verification and validation activities enabled by Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across the digital thread and the engineering life cycle
Provides analysis to support reviews such as Systems Readiness Review (SRR) and SFR, and performs engineering functions in support of experimentation, integration, and operations
Plans, coordinates, and facilitates the post-deployment SW sustainment and post-production SW sustainment requirements, management, and execution
Supports the installation and integration of components within the Operational and Test Enterprise
Troubleshoots and resolves system integration issues
Reviews and provides input to all governance documents as required
Assists in the development of the technical solution in response to a baseline change request
Creates storage systems and maintains hardware as needed Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge
May supervise others
Qualifications:
Required:
US citizen with active Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or similar field
8+ years of System Engineering experience
Certifications in one or more: Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma)
Experience defining, documenting, and managing technical requirements
Desired:
Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise
Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles

The proposed salary range for this position is:
