The impact you will have in this role:

The Associate DevSecOps Engineer will share a point of view to IT staff on how to build mature automated solutions demonstrating Infrastructure as code (IaC) and Software Development practices. They will maintain and develop new automated capabilities like IaC Pipelines, Shared Services/modules, and additional automated solutions in the team’s portfolio. They will provide platform support for the automation tools ensuring stable and reliable platforms to complete automation. They will manage their work using agile practices and will use software development principles including version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

 

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate requirements, design, and guide service owners in creating automated solutions that meet the needs of our customers with a focus on self-service automation.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for existing automation enablement platforms and services and implement improvements.
  • Identify bugs and issues with existing automated platforms and services and implement fixes.
  • Administration of our automation tools including but not limited to: user access, supervising environment health, performing application upgrades, designing infrastructure to meet capacity, performance, and availability needs, providing knowledge transfer to level one support teams, opening support cases with vendor and escalation as needed. 
  • Identify problems and inefficient processes and develop creative automated solutions to solve them.
  • Establish ways to measure the value our automated solutions will realize for our customers. 
  • Promote the benefits of automation by contributing to communications outlining the value our solutions provide to the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

 

Talents Needed for Success:

  • 3-5 years coding experience and/or equivalent training / course work experience
  • Strong experience in at least one configuration management tool (Ansible, Chef, Terraform)
  • Strong experience in at least one programming language (Python, Groovy…etc)
  • Basic knowledge of Infrastructure components such as storage, networking, and server.
  • Basic Knowledge of AWS Cloud and Services especially ec2
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving ability
  • Desire to learn new technologies and programming languages
  • Knowledge of the Red Hat Linux Operating System
  • Basic knowledge of developing Ansible Playbooks and administering Ansible Tower/Ansible Automation Platform
  • Experience developing Chef cookbooks or administering the Chef Server
  • Experience with Linux Shell Scripting and/or Python coding
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services
  • Experience using git for version control and solid understanding of gitflow
  • Experience using Scrum or Kanban to manage tasks

 

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
