Summary

For the “Cyberspace & Electronic Warfare” business unit, we are looking for a “Head of Airborne & Space Electronic Warfare (f/m/d)” at the Ulm site at the earliest possible date.

The department is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of system solutions in the field of airborne and space-based electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare.

The focus is on strategically important projects in the national and international environment - including the development and integration of airborne reconnaissance systems, space-based SIGINT platforms in line with the “New Space” approach and specialized systems for ground-based radar defence. In addition, the department acts as a central interface to all relevant stakeholders within HENSOLDT - in particular to the EW product area, business unit development, the strategy area and the areas of responsibility for the air and space domains.

Your Tasks

• Establishment and structured further development of the “Airborne & Space EW” program department

• Technical and disciplinary management of an interdisciplinary team as well as promotion and further development of employees to ensure competence

• Developing program strategies in close coordination with related areas such as portfolio management, product development and business development

• Planning and implementing projects in compliance with time, cost and quality targets - with a focus on their overall system life cycle

• Managing internal resources and identifying and proactively mitigating program-specific risks at an early stage

• Acquisition of follow-up and new business in close cooperation with the sales organization

Willingness to travel on business is a prerequisite.

Your Profile

• Completed studies in the field of engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, industrial engineering or comparable

• PMP certification or comparable project-related qualification

• Extensive management experience in interdisciplinary teams, combined with a clear understanding of cross-organizational relationships

• Many years of experience in managing complex programs and projects - ideally in a security-relevant or defense-related environment

• Knowledge of working with German and international authorities and military users (BAAINBw)

• Confident handling of relevant tools (MS Office, MS Project Server); knowledge of HENSOLDT systems (e.g. VIS, RIMIS, PROMISE) advantageous

• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work in a team and assertiveness

• Business fluent in German and English
