About the Team
Global Workplace Safety manages the development, planning and implementation of company industrial safety programs and the administrative supervision of the security organization. Develops safety policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with Irish and EU regulations, handling all contact with relevant agencies. Provides protection for personnel and company property. Develops, implements, and maintains security procedures to meet required codes and regulations. Prepares and maintains all required security manuals. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.About the Role
The Sr. Manager, EMEA Safety & Security Operations is responsible for the development, implementation, and comprehensive oversight of all Safety and Physical Security programs and Global Safety Operations Center (GSOC) functions across the Europe, Middle-East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. This pivotal leadership role will ensure the safety and security of our personnel, assets, and facilities through robust safety practices, physical security measures, and innovative GSOC operations. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, experienced professional with a strong understanding of physical security operations and GSOC operations, excellent communication skills, an AI champion, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This full-time position requires on-site presence five days a week at our Dublin, Ireland office.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, oversight, supervision, and deployment of company-wide safety and security operations programs, processes, and systems within the EMEAregion, focusing on mitigating risks to human, information, and physical assets.
Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Global Safety Operations Center (GSOC) with global remit, ensuring effective incident response and resource allocation.
Drive the strategic direction for EMEA safety and security, including the implementation of new technologies that leverage AI and drive efficiency through processes improvement.
Develop and maintain security-services performance metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs); generate data-driven reports and analytics for senior management.
Oversee the coordinated development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures related to physical security, and GSOC operations for the EMEA region.
Contribute to financial targets/budgets processes for EMEA safety and security
operations.
Initiate and maintain strategic planning to keep pace with the growth of business teams, number of sites, and evolving stakeholder needs.
Responsible for the oversight, supervision, and management of the outsourced contract security guard force across EMEA sites, including patrol specialists, Security Operators, and all other contract security personnel.
Aid and support Employee Health & Safety initiatives by identifying risks and recommending solutions to unsafe working conditions, ensuring adherence to relevant EMEA regulations, including Irish Health and Safety Authority (HSA) guidelines for the Dublin office.
Partner effectively with business group managers across EMEA, including Real Estate and Workplace, Development, Privacy, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, HR, and relevant law enforcement agencies (e.g., Garda Síochána).
Support the Security Systems team as a contributor supporting security design projects for the EMEA region.
About You
Basic Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, military, law enforcement, safety, or security-related experience.
● 7+ years of progressive experience working in corporate safety and/or security, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role.
● Minimum of 3 years of direct GSOC operations management experience.
● Demonstrated knowledge of relevant EMEA health and safety legislation, including specific knowledge of Irish Health and Safety Legislation.
● Knowledge of EU GDPR and Irish data protection laws.
● Extensive experience and knowledge of various access control platforms, video management systems, and incident management applications/software.
Other Qualifications:
● Proven experience leading, managing, and motivating teams in a dynamic, rapidly evolving, and cross-functional environment, including experience managing people through vendor relationships.
● Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, make sound decisions with less than complete information in critical situations, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
● Experience leveraging AI to automate business processes and drive efficiencies.
● Experience with security systems such as Lenel, Milestone, ServiceNow, Everbridge, Dataminr, etc.
● Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
● Demonstrated analytical skills necessary for the collation of data and the production of safety and security management statistics as applied in a corporate setting.
● Confidence speaking publicly and delivering concise briefings to Executive Leadership.
● Relevant certifications (e.g., ASIS CPP, PSP) are highly desirable.
● Must be willing to be on-call for after-hours calls, respond to irregular work hours, and manage stressful scenarios requiring maturity and poise.
● Experience in the tech industry is preferred.
● Occasional International travel within the EMEA region may be required. Periodic visits to the US or APJ region for no more than one week per year may also be expected in order to attend cross functional training, team building or other events.
