Cyber and RMF Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity: 

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in implementing security systems to safeguard our nation? As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the correct tool needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will protect critical infrastructure.

What You’ll Work On: 

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. 

  • Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.  

  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas and leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:   

  • 5+ years of experience in information systems security, information systems testing, and Cybersecurity architecture

  • 3+ years of experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including using systems such as eMASS and ACAS

  • Knowledge of hardening systems and infrastructure, including wi-fi  

  • Ability to apply expertise to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special-purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures    

  • Ability to facilitate the RMF process from the systems engineering phase through ATO and continuous monitoring

  • Ability to generate RMF POAMs, translate POAM tasks into action, guide engineers through best practices, track and report progress, and resolve open findings

  • Ability to host client cyber calls for RMF and POAM reviews

  • Secret clearance   

  • HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with information technology or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience with information technology

  • IAT Level II Certification, specifically CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with hardening wireless systems

  • Experience supporting the US Navy RMF process

  • Top Secret clearance   

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity

  • CISSP Certification

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
