About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to join us.
The Network Engineer III designs and maintains enterprise data network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance across multiple sites, including fixed and temporary locations. This senior role supports IT operations and maintenance services in hybrid on-premises and multi-cloud environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Network Operations: Configure, monitor, and optimize network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) for enterprise connectivity.
- Access Management: Implement network access controls to meet organizational security standards.
- Incident Management: Monitor network events, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis, reporting findings daily.
- Problem Resolution: Identify recurring issues, develop solutions, and document resolutions to enhance reliability.
- Security Response: Support intrusion detection, analyze threats, and manage incident responses with security teams.
- Change Management: Recommend configuration changes, document change requests, and update configuration records.
- Network Upgrades: Deploy hardware/software upgrades and ensure compliance with systems engineering processes.
- Performance Monitoring: Generate weekly reports on network bandwidth and capacity to support critical operations.
- Documentation: Maintain network diagrams and configuration flow diagrams for project deliverables.
- Collaboration: Work with system administrators, database engineers, and cloud teams to integrate network solutions.
Qualifications
The Network Engineer III must possess the following skills and certifications to effectively fulfill the role:
- Network Expertise: Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
- Device Proficiency: Experience with router, switch, and firewall configuration.
- Security Knowledge: Familiarity with federal security standards and intrusion detection.
- Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with network monitoring and reporting tools.
- Certifications: Must be Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Architect Professional (CCNA), Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certifications, Certification in Multi-Cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure)
Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Federal or enterprise network experience.
- Certifications: CCIE, CISSP, VCP.
- Cloud networking (AWS, Azure) expertise.
- Security clearance eligibility.
- Mobile/satellite networking and automation scripting skills.
Clearance Requirements: Successful completion of a government security screening and/or a Secret Clearance
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Fingerprint background investigation.
Min Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
