Credence has an immediate need for an experienced Systems Administrator with a strong focus on IT security to support and secure our enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. This role is responsible for system administration, security operations, and technical support across platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and various endpoint and security tools. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges while maintaining a secure and efficient IT ecosystem.to work out of our headquarters location in McLean VA  (Hybrid).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents across systems and networks.
  • Administer and maintain cloud and on-premise systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Manage user accounts and directory services (Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Group Policy).
  • Support and maintain security tools including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Proofpoint, Nessus, and email firewalls.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts, including system hardening and patching based on Nessus scan results.
  • Provide advanced technical support and resolve escalated IT tickets with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Manage endpoints using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, including Intune and Windows Autopilot deployments.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and restoration processes.
  • Support implementation and enforcement of Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and secure access protocols.
  • Analyze email headers and maintain secure mail flow policies to protect organizational communications.
  • Collaborate on secure software development practices and contribute to compliance and audit readiness (NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC).
  • Conduct and support phishing simulations and security awareness initiatives.
  • Participate in a bi-weekly on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.

Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • US citizenship wsince a security clearance required.
    • Mid-Level Data Scientist 3-7 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development & deployments of AI projects and/or
    • Senior Level Data Scientist 10+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development & deployments of AI projects.
  • Strong knowledge of AI/ML techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, with expertise in Python, AI/ML key libraries, and basic LLM concepts
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Experience using ML frameworks and tools in the cloud, such as Amazon Sagemaker. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or similar.
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization environments.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001/27002, CMMC).
  • Familiarity with JSON and YAML scripting.
  • Experience leading or contributing to IT/security-related project initiatives.
