Manager, Cybersecurity Operations

The  Manager for Cybersecurity Operations is responsible for leading and managing the cybersecurity operations team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective cybersecurity systems and protocols.  Manager for Cybersecurity Operations will work closely with other members of the IT and Cybersecurity department to ensure that all systems are secure and protected against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the organization’s information systems and data

• Manage the cybersecurity operations team in monitoring and responding to cyber threats

• Collaborate with other members of the IT and Cybersecurity functions to ensure that all systems are secure and protected against cyber threats

• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security weaknesses and develop strategies to address them

• Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees on best practices for protecting company data and systems

• Manage relationships with external cybersecurity vendors and consultants

• Stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and ensure that the organization is prepared to respond to new threats

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on managing teams

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, tools, and technologies

• Experience with risk assessment and vulnerability testing

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred

Technologies and Tools:

• Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security hardware and software

• Security information and event management (SIEM) systems

• Vulnerability scanning tools such as Rapid7, Nessus or Qualys

• Penetration testing tools such as Metasploit or Nmap

• Encryption tools such as PGP or BitLocker

• Network and system monitoring tools such as Wireshark or Nagios

• Cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub or Azure Security Center

• Identity and access management (IAM) tools such as Active Directory or Okta

• Incident response and management software such as ServiceNow or Jira

• Collaboration and communication tools such as Slack or Microsoft Teams.
