ValidaTek is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient ISOSEC Operations Manager to oversee and manage operational support for the Information System Security (ISOSEC) environment under the Cybersecurity Systems Support (CSS) contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This role is critical in ensuring compliance with security policies and the operational effectiveness of cybersecurity tools and processes supporting the ISOSEC mission. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in cybersecurity operations with leadership and coordination skills. This position is 100% on-site at Pensacola, FL.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the ISOSEC mission environment, ensuring alignment with DISA cybersecurity policies and mission objectives.
- Oversee deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, Splunk, Tanium, and others within the ISOSEC enclave.
- Manage ISOSEC enclave infrastructure to ensure availability, security, and performance of cybersecurity services.
- Support the development and enforcement of operational procedures, maintenance schedules, system upgrades, and incident response plans for ISOSEC-related tools and services.
- Ensure all security configurations, patching, and STIG compliance activities are conducted on time and documented appropriately.
- Coordinate and collaborate with DISA stakeholders, cybersecurity personnel, system administrators, and other operations teams to support mission requirements and cross-functional integration.
- Serve as the central point of contact for operational escalations, system outages, and configuration issues within the ISOSEC domain.
- Track and report on system metrics, availability, compliance status, and open POA&Ms as part of RMF Continuous Monitoring requirements.
- Participate in audits, assessments, and readiness reviews to ensure operational compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CAP) – required.
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations or cybersecurity, including 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining tools such as ACAS, HBSS, Splunk, Tanium, or equivalent security monitoring and endpoint management platforms.
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF, and vulnerability management processes.
- Experience managing STIG compliance, IAVM implementation, and patch lifecycle processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting DISA or other DoD cybersecurity or enclave environments.
- Familiarity with eMASS, POA&M management, and ATO sustainment.
- Understanding of DoD enclave architecture, boundary defense, and cyber defense tool integration.
- Experience with ITIL-based operational processes (incident, problem, change management).

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
