ValidaTek is seeking a results-driven and experienced NIPR/SIPR Operations Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day operations for Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) environments in support of the Cybersecurity Systems Support (CSS) contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This critical leadership role ensures the availability, security, compliance, and performance of mission-essential systems and services across both classified and unclassified domains. This is a 100% on-site role based in Pensacola, FL.
Responsibilities
- Lead operational support, incident management, and maintenance of all NIPR and SIPR systems within the CSS environment.
- Manage a cross-functional team of system, network, and cybersecurity professionals supporting both networks.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of system updates, patches, and configuration changes, ensuring compliance with DoD STIGs, IAVM directives, and cybersecurity policies.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, and engineering staff to support Authority to Operate (ATO)/Interim Authority to Test (IATT) sustainment and renewal.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and availability of services on both NIPR and SIPR through proactive system health checks and performance analysis.
- Lead root cause analysis of system outages, service degradation, and cybersecurity incidents affecting NIPR/SIPR infrastructure.
- Manage and document configuration baselines, operational procedures, and change control records in accordance with ITIL and RMF practices.
- Oversee the integration and support of cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and Splunk in both NIPR and SIPR environments.
- Provide regular status updates, briefings, and operational metrics to DISA leadership and ValidaTek program management.
- Coordinate with network operations and cyber defense teams to support boundary protection and enclaving between networks.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP, CAP, CISM) – required.
- 7+ years of IT operations or systems administration experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Direct experience managing and supporting systems in NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), and enterprise IT services (Active Directory, DNS, etc.).
- Experience implementing and supporting RMF, STIG compliance, and eMASS documentation.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, Nessus, and SIEM platforms.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in secure DoD environments.
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DISA environments or mission systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and change/configuration management best practices.
- Experience with classified systems accreditation, system enclaving, and cross-domain solutions (CDS).
- Familiarity with network segmentation, VLANs, and boundary defense strategies in a DoD context.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
