Microsoft Security Architect

We’re looking for a Microsoft Security Architect to join our Service Engineering team in SOC operations support within DNV Cyber’s Managed Services department.

In this customer-facing role, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced security monitoring solutions using Microsoft Sentinel and the broader Microsoft Security stack. To excel in this role, we expect you to collaborate effectively with internal teams, as well as customer technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Sentinel-based security monitoring solutions.
• Lead customer projects, from an architectural design to deployment and optimisation.
• Conduct threat modelling and guide secure architecture and integration strategies.
• Collaborate with software engineers, customer security teams, and CISOs to match security architecture with business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement in detection engineering and incident response capabilities.
• Contribute to the development of scalable, efficient managed services using Microsoft technologies.

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on professional with 3-6 years of relevant experience in Microsoft security technologies.

You bring:

• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing Microsoft Sentinel solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft Purview, and Azure Security Center.
• Experience with log ingestion, data normalization, and KQL (Kusto Query Language).
• Familiarity with threat detection, incident response, and security automation in Microsoft environments.
• Background in security architecture and system integration.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken).

  Bonus points for:

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., SC-100, SC-200, AZ-500).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, Cloudformation).
• Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud security architecture.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and implementation.
• Fluent Finnish communication skills (written and spoken).
