Your Opportunity
Dillon’s is looking for a highly motivated and experienced IT Security Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the security posture of our organization's information systems and data. This role requires a strong blend of system administration experience and dedicated security experience to implement, monitor, and manage various security technologies and processes.
This position is available at our Dillon London ON office. We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement options to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.
Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEMs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
- Monitor security alerts and incidents, and respond effectively to security threats.
- Manage Data Protection, Backup and Retention solutions
- Manage patching, vulnerability scans, and updates across all devices and systems.
- Participate in the delivery of security projects
- Assist in the process of assessing the security posture of potential and existing cloud vendors.
- Assist with security audits and risk assessments and monthly reporting.
- Assist with the creation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Manage user access controls, identity and access management (IAM), and role-based permissions.
- Participate in incident response planning and execution.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and backup validation routines
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the secure integration of data, systems and applications.
- Stay up to date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in cybersecurity.
Qualifications
- Information Technology-related diploma or degree from a recognized College or University.
- Solid understanding of security tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms such as Sumo Logic, CrowdStrike, Cisco DUO, Proofpoint, and Palo Alto Networks.
- Proficiency with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies.
- Relevant certifications CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar is an asset.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of related experience such as a System Administrator, Cybersecurity etc.
- Experience managing Microsoft environments a must (365, Active Directory, etc.).
- Experience with cloud platforms and security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with incident response procedures and logging/monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
