The Role:

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a key role in strengthening our security posture during a critical period of transformation. Reporting to the Group Head of Cyber Resilience and Security, you will support the business in improving cyber hygiene, managing vulnerabilities, and enhancing incident detection and response. You will help align security controls with industry best practices, drive patch management, assess third-party and project risks, and maximise the effectiveness of our security tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support vulnerability and patch management, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and remediation of security risks.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, assisting in investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Align security controls with best practices such as CIS benchmarks to strengthen the company’s security posture.
  • Support security assessments for third parties and new projects, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Optimise the use of Microsoft security capabilities, enhancing threat detection, identity protection, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to promote cyber awareness and improve security hygiene.
  • Support compliance with ISO 27001 and other regulatory or industry requirements, maintaining robust security governance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring cybersecurity evolves alongside business transformation.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and best practices, including CIS benchmarks and ISO 27001.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, patch management, and incident response.
  • Proficiency in leveraging Microsoft security capabilities, such as Group Policies and Intune, to enhance security posture.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint, network, and identity security controls.
  • Experience working in a complex, dynamic environment, ideally within an organisation undergoing transformation and/or regular software development.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, SSCP, Security Blue Team, Microsoft SC-200, or equivalent) are desirable.
