Are you interested in using your skills to help shape the Cyber, Security, & Intel space?  If so, look no further.  Amentum is seeking a System Administrator to join our team of passionate individuals in Ft Meade, Maryland.  In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the nation’s security and intelligence mission.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to IT systems, including monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices.
• Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Assist in the daily operations of a semiconductor assembly facility by ensuring equipment operating systems and lab-specific applications are up to date and running properly.
• Work with minimal supervision to ensure Windows and UNIX systems fully support critical mission needs.
• Collaborate with customer management teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Identify and implement system-level enhancements where appropriate.

 

Here's What You'll Need:

 

Requirements: 

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage daily activities related to the configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Aid users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Offer in-depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installing/loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components.

Clearance Required:

• TS/SCI clearance with poly

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. An additional 5 years of experience is required in lieu of BS degree

Minimum Years of Experience: 

• Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.  
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Certifications: 

• Information Assurance:  DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level 1 is required

Preferred:

• Experience configuring/managing workstations and servers.  
• Security + (this would satisfy the Level 1 requirement)
• Monitor installs/loads of operating system software and network components.

The base salary range for this position is $170K to $190K. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
