Head of Compliance

Our AV1 telepresence robot helps reduce social isolation by enabling children and young people to stay connected to their education and peers — even when they can’t physically be there. We’re now looking for a Head of Compliance to join our leadership team and help us grow responsibly. This is a critical role for someone who understands how smart compliance can be a real enabler of trust, efficiency and growth.

What will be your mission?

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that No Isolation continues to meet legal, regulatory and ethical requirements across our markets and product lines. From information security and privacy to hardware certifications and grant reporting, you’ll lead our compliance efforts with both precision and purpose.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Compliance & Certifications

• Lead regulatory compliance across privacy (GDPR), security, hardware, and sector-specific frameworks 
• Manage external certifications and audits (e.g. ISO 27001, CE certification, cybersecurity) 
• Take the lead on internal information security work, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and relevant data protection requirements

Risk & Internal Policy

• Maintain and improve company policies, governance structures, and risk frameworks
• Act as our main point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors and external stakeholders
• Support incident investigations and ensure proper documentation and follow-up

Documentation & Internal Support

• Provide accurate, accessible compliance documentation for internal and customer use
• Deliver onboarding and training sessions that promote awareness and accountability across the company

Soft Funding & Grant Compliance

• Oversee national and EU grant processes, ensuring full compliance from application to reporting

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with solid experience in compliance, ideally from a regulated or complex organisational setting. You combine strong regulatory insight with a pragmatic approach, ensuring that policies and processes are both compliant and operationally effective.

To succeed in this role, you likely bring:

• Proven experience in leading compliance efforts across privacy, information security and relevant regulatory domains (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, CE certification)
• A strong understanding of contractual requirements, corporate governance, and risk management framework
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage certification processes and external audits with rigour and precision
• The confidence and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders — from executive leadership and board members to external regulators and technical teams
• A methodical and structured working style, with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• The ability to operate independently in a high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment, while collaborating effectively across disciplines such as Product, Engineering, HR and Sales
• A clear sense of accountability and a pragmatic approach to balancing compliance with business goals
• Experience with IT security and/or hardware certification (e.g. CE for IoT devices) is a distinct advantage.
