Title and Summary
Manager, Regional SecurityThe Latin America and Caribbean team is seeking a Regional Security Officer to secure our people and business to thrive in a world beyond cash. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing Mastercard's brand as a technology-leader. The best fit candidate will support the Regional Chief Security Officer (RCSO) in driving the security agenda for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. The position is based in Mexico City, Mexico, or Bogota, Colombia. They will act as the first point of contact for Corporate Security with responsibility to manage programs and services. Supports relationship management with key stakeholders on all matters pertaining to security. Assesses and mitigates risks impacting people, assets, business operations and company reputation.Responsibilities:
• Communicate regularly with RCSO regarding important security agenda, issues, and execute according to the direction of the RCSO.
• Keep abreast of current regional security trend / issues as they relate to the security, political, economic, and cultural landscape. Provide analysis to the RCSO on political, security and terrorism trend across the LAC region.
• Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement entities, intelligence partners, and affiliated security associations.
• Ensure compliance of Corporate Security policies and procedures.
• Recognize potential and current physical security threats to Mastercard and formulate actions to mitigate risks to personnel, information, assets and company reputation.
Communicate and develop executive summaries, reports, and briefings of security incidents and BAU operations.
• Assess and evaluate the risk associated with business travels by country; provides counsel on protocol to ensure appropriate level of protection for our employees. Engage employees and senior leadership to provide support and customize solutions as needed.
• Manage and support emergency planning / response and crisis management programs with global teams.
• Plan, coordinate and execute Events and Executive Protection services with global teams in accordance with Mastercard standards.
• Deliver security awareness training to Mastercard staff and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments of Mastercard facilities and recommend corrective measures as appropriate.
• Manage relationship with security vendors in the LAC region.
• Support the design, vendor coordination, installation and management of security systems including access control and CCTV systems, with the global Access Engineering team, for BAU and office move / renovation projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. Real Estate Services) to secure Mastercard facilities.
• Support global or regional cybersecurity initiatives as needed.
Experiences
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in Physical Security operations in the LAC region.
• Good attitude and willing to learn in a fast moving technology payments industry.
• Analytical and proven track record of delivering security services and risk management.
• Proven experience in Executive protection and Event Security support services.
• Working knowledge of access control security systems and technology.
• Can communicate effectively verbally or written. Good interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Possess a valid passport and able to travel internationally.
• Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is highly desirable.
• Experience in cybersecurity and data protection such as collaborating with Global and Regional Cybersecurity assurance functions – security architects, engineers, and operations staff – to optimize the cyber and information security program to minimize risk to the business.
• Support security systems services and coordinate new security systems installations with regional security systems vendors and global functions.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification highly desirable.
• Support and advise the Product Management Evaluation process to minimize technology risk to the business for the delivery of new and upgraded products.
• Develop and maintain regular market and security intelligence updates to the business, including threat alerts on occurrence for risks to MC assets applicable to the market.
• Engage and educate employees and senior leadership on security awareness programs, threat, and risk management.
• Collaborate closely with Legal and Technology divisions to manage security risks in legal contracts, procurement, and capability/product delivery ensuring it is conducted in a timely manner to serve the Latin America and Caribbean region and to addresses security risks for protective security efforts, and capability/product delivery.
• Manage and/or support regional security incidents and emergency events to safeguard MC data, assets, and employees by providing expert security advice as needed.
• Support Human Resources, Legal or Internal Audit with regards to internal investigations.
• In collaboration with Public Policy & Government Engagement, support the regional business in the establishment of public sector and law enforcement relationships to support market activity.
• Support the business and act as trusted advisor for security operations related to security incidents or crisis events within Latin America and the Caribbean in collaboration with Crisis Management and Global Corporate Security functions.
• Support Latin America and the Caribbean Technology lead for the clarification of security related queries.
• Support the Latin America and Caribbean regional business for the resolution of Stakeholder Assurance (RFQ, Regulatory queries, 4-Party stakeholder questionnaires, etc...)
