As the Global Threat Intelligence Manager at Waymo, you will be a key leader responsible for a centralized corporate security threat intelligence function. Reporting to the Head of the Waymo Security Operations Center (WaySOC), you will provide critical analytical oversight and strategic insights to protect Waymo's assets, personnel, operations, and reputation.

Central to this role is the opportunity to build and shape a critical enterprise function by leveraging existing tools and data sources. You will lead the effort to integrate various monitoring and analysis activities into a cohesive enterprise-wide program, enabling a more proactive and holistic understanding of our complex risk landscape (geopolitical, operational, security, reputational, etc.) to support strategic decision-making and operational resilience as Waymo continues to grow and evolve.

You Will:

  • Establish and lead Waymo’s global threat intelligence program, including developing foundational command media (SOPs, program standards), setting intelligence priorities, and creating tailored intelligence products.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of security threats, geopolitical trends, business resilience factors, supply chain integrity, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations, and impacts of local events on Waymo operations.
  • Deliver actionable intelligence, predictive outlooks, and situational briefings to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and manage Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) based on input from Waymo business functions and regional teams to ensure focused collection and analysis efforts.
  • Oversee and guide potential vendor intelligence analysts or services in executing the day-to-day functions of the threat intelligence program, ensuring quality and alignment with Waymo's standards.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of internal (Waymo, Google/Alphabet) and external contacts (private sector, government partners like FBI's Office of the Private Sector, Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs), Law Enforcement Intelligence Centers).

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Global Security, or a similar analytical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in intelligence analysis, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or program management role focused on building and directing intelligence management programs, teams, or functions.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement intelligence programs, establishing frameworks, setting priorities, and producing high-impact analytical products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting complex analysis on a wide range of risks (geopolitical, operational, security, reputational) and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional research skills (Open Source Intelligence - OSINT), critical thinking, and synthesis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with experience briefing senior executives and managing stakeholder relationships.

We Prefer:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience building cross-functional partnerships with public and private sector entities.
  • Experience managing vendor intelligence analysts or third-party intelligence providers, including aspects of contracting, performance indicators, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Familiarity with integrating AI or advanced analytics into intelligence workflows.
