Technical Program Managers (TPMs) play a meaningful role at Salesforce in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Technology & Products organizations. TPMs are responsible for programs through from beginning to end, ensuring a better workflow and more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company!
The Senior Technical Program Management – Business Intelligence (BI) will support multiple technical programs within the Salesforce Security Team through the collection, management, and analysis and presentation of data to support critical Security initiatives. Business Intelligence TPM will be responsible for aggregating data from multiple sources to generate regular reports for executive consumption. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive data sources and simple visualizations that provide insights into key business metrics. The ideal candidate must be able to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and automate where possible. They will also proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and enhance data visualization to make information more accessible and understandable for executive decision-making. In addition to report generation, the Business Intelligence Engineer should possess strong analytical skills to delve into the underlying data and identify the root causes of trends and changes highlighted in the reports. This requires proficiency in data querying, manipulation, and analysis, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex findings to executives.
Responsibilities:-
Work with program stakeholders to understand how to identify and solve problems involving data from mixed sources and in large volumes, including data visualization and presentation for decision making
Leverage data management tools to collect and analyze data, including data transformation as required to achieve desired data visibility
Analyze data sets to identify problems, gaps, inaccuracies and inconsistencies, with recommendations and engagement to resolve issues
Develop automation to enable data workflows from collection to visualization
Develop trusted relationships with key technology, functional leaders and stakeholders to drive focus on the program objectives and optimize program delivery
Supporting and hold resources accountable for their responsibilities within the program
Utilize internal tools and agile mindset to create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation and continuous improvement.
Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives. Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward.
Provide “go to” leadership, transparency and visibility to the entire Technology & Products organization.
Seek to continuously grow by proactively seeking and embracing constructive feedback.
Understand and streamline end to end process
Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.
Be a thought leader within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change.
Essential Skills:-
Overall 10+ years of experience and 3-7 years of experience in Business Intelligence
Proficiency with Relational Databases, ETL tools, and data warehouses
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in an Agile/Scrum environment are required
5-7+ years of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company.
Deep understanding of cyber security and risk management practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.
Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies
Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and team members.
Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
Experience with Portfolio Management.
Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:-
Desired skills include experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) and scripting languages like Python
Familiarity with compliance and security standards, policies, and risk management
Public cloud infrastructure knowledge
Ability to quickly learn Salesforce application to build tools and reports or strong interest in technology and ability to develop application/tool to automate processes
Understanding of Security Development Lifecycle
Have or desire to attain a PMP, CISM and/or CISSP certification
