Job Purpose:

This position ensures effective identity and access management by administering user accounts, configuring access control mechanisms, supporting compliance reporting, and collaborating across teams. The role also involves knowledge transfer and procedural optimization as the organization prepares for a fully automated provisioning process.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Account Administration & Access Control

• Handle end-to-end user account provisioning, deprovisioning, and updates across systems.
• Monitor service level agreements related to access management workflows.
• Assign roles and permissions based on job functions and employment status.
• Maintain user attributes, profiles, and access roles for secure access control.

System Configuration

• Define and manage access policies aligned with security standards.
• Implement and maintain RBAC and ABAC strategies.
• Configure IAM tools to support organizational security goals.

Dashboarding & Metrics

• Develop user-centric dashboards that reflect key access control metrics.
• Analyze access patterns to detect potential issues or improvement areas.
• Customize visualizations based on user role or departmental needs.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Address provisioning issues and troubleshoot access-related errors.
• Investigate incidents involving unauthorized access attempts.

Reporting & Auditing

• Generate access and compliance reports as per internal/external audit requirements.
• Maintain audit trails documenting access successes and failures.
• Conduct regular reviews of entitlements and user access levels.

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with Information Security teams to flag non-compliant or suspicious activity.
• Provide identity management training and support to users and teams.
• Translate technical access concepts for both technical and business stakeholders.

Note: This position is classified as essential personnel and may require reporting during emergencies under Florida Administrative Code (Section 33-208.002(4), F.A.C.).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. (4 years of equivalent work experience may substitute for education.)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with IAM platforms like Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Identity Manager, or comparable systems.
• Strong understanding of role-based access control (RBAC), user permissions, and system integrations.
• Proficient with IAM-related security tools such as SSO, MFA, and auditing tools.
• Skilled in incident management, system health monitoring, and log analysis.
• Experience with compliance standards and audit preparation related to access management.
• Effective communicator with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ticketing/request systems such as ServiceNow.
• Working knowledge of security best practices and risk management related to identity protection.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to challenge or defend ideas professionally.
• Familiarity with access threats, mitigation practices, and compliance frameworks.
