We may work with boxes, but we think outside of them

You help to make IKEA an innovative and modern brand. You make it possible for people to have a smarter life at home and a rewarding (hiccup-free!) shopping experience. And you help to make IKEA a great and efficient place to work with digital solutions for every business need. You’re a vital part of the IKEA business and growth!

Job description

Are you passionate about keeping information safe in a digital world that's constantly evolving? As a Technical Information Security Officer (TISO) at IKEA Baltics, you’ll play a key role in protecting our data, systems, and customers across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Reporting to the CIO and working closely with the Inter IKEA Security team, you’ll ensure that local practices align with global standards while supporting our business goals. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders such as IT Managers, Enterprise Architecture, Legal & Compliance teams, and external vendors to embed security into the way we work. If you enjoy turning complex requirements into practical solutions and helping others see security as a natural part of daily operations – this might be your next adventure.

What you will be doing as a Technical Information Security Officer (TISO):

    • Developing, implementing and maintaining information security strategies and practices across all three Baltic countries.
    • Designing and enforcing IT security policies and posture based on the IKEA Policy House and IConduct.
    • Conducting regular risk assessments, vulnerability testing and security awareness trainings.
    • Ensuring robust protection of sensitive customer and company data through encryption and security protocols.
    • Collaborating with Legal & Compliance to ensure alignment with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
    • Keeping practices aligned with Inter IKEA policies, regulatory and industry standards.
    • Establishing and maintaining an information security framework based on Inter IKEA requirements.
    • Maintaining and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
    • Leading incident response simulations and preparing teams for potential security events.
    • Acting as a key contact between IKEA Baltics and the broader Inter IKEA Cyber Security community.

At IKEA we will love you from the first day, but we will adore you if you have :

    • Proven experience in an IT security role, ideally in a retail or similar business environment.
    • Deep understanding of information security frameworks and data protection regulations (especially GDPR).
    • Ability to turn complex security requirements into practical, actionable steps.
    • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
    • A collaborative, down-to-earth mindset and the ability to bring people on board.
    • Familiarity with IKEA culture, ways of working and values (a big plus!).
    • Fluency in English, both spoken and written (knowledge of a Baltic language is a plus).
