Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana invites applicants for a full-time position in the School of Information Technology at the rank of Assistant Professor of Cyber Security. The responsibilities of the position of Assistant Professor of Cyber Security are to 1) Prepare and teach post-secondary classroom courses in the theory and practice of Cyber Security and other related interdisciplinary program courses focused on Cyber Security in the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana School of Information Technology – the Assistant Professor of Cyber Security will be assigned to teach any of the following courses: CSIA 105 - Introduction to Cyber Security and Information Assurance (3 Credit Hours); CSIA 115 - Cyber Operations (3 Credit Hours); CSIA 210 - Network Protocol Analysis (3Credit Hours); CSIA 225 - Ethical Hacking (3 Credit Hours); CSIA 260 - Business Continuity in an Information World (3 Credit Hours); CSIA 235 -Advanced Digital Forensics (3 Credit Hours); CSIA282 - Advanced Special Topics in Cyber Security and Information Assurance (1 Credit Hour); and CSIA 106 - Workforce Preparation: CompTIA Security+ Certification (1 Credit Hour); 2) Evaluate and grade post-secondary students’ class work, assignments, and papers while maintaining student attendance records, grades, and other required records, as well as maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students; 3) Lead and conduct scholarly research and publication in regard to Cyber Security as well as conduct other interdisciplinary research, publication, and field studies focused on Cyber Security within the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana School of Information Technology; and 4)Participate in Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana governance by participating in faculty committee work and meetings, as well as curriculum development and learning objectives.
The position of Assistant Professor of Cyber Security requires a Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Sciences, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a similarly related field.
