  • Own and manage your own demo environments/tenants
  • Use technical tools, scripts, or APIs to demonstrate how to solve technical problems or showcase product capabilities. Document and communicate such solutions to the broader organization
  • Lead engaging live and recorded technical training sessions for technical field roles, covering new products, new features, security concepts, and industry positioning
  • Maintain technical knowledge of competitors and contribute to technical battlecards and objection handling guides
  • Be the go-to technical resource and subject matter expert for technical field roles, assisting with questions and strategic opportunities
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Sales to share feedback and insights from the field
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Technical Enablement to integrate your technical content into cohesive enablement programs
  • Continuously learn about Fastly products, security, the industry landscape, and other relevant technologies to maintain and share your expertise
  • Contribute to the development of the technical marketing strategy for Fastly's security products
  • Represent the company to industry analysts and at industry and customer events (virtual and in-person). This role will require travel up to 25% of the time

What We’re Looking For:

  • You are a deeply technical security professional with 5-8 years of experience in roles like Sales Engineering, Technical Marketing, Solutions Architecture, Technical Evangelism, or Technical Training
  • You have strong hands-on expertise in application security, platform engineering, or modern software delivery
  • You have a proven ability and genuine passion for teaching, mentoring, and enabling others. You are capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • You excel at creating technical content including demos, presentations, labs, and documentation
  • You have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. You are comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical audiences
  • You write your own scripts to demonstrate product capabilities and are at ease using APIs and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform
  • You possess strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize effectively

We’ll be super impressed if you have:

  • An impactful portfolio of innovative technical marketing content (e.g., viral technical blogs, open-source tools, interactive experiences) with proven community or sales results
  • Pivotal experience defining the function, strategy, and deliverables as a founding or early Technical Marketing Engineer for a security product
  • Proven ability to create and tailor technical content and training programs for diverse global audiences
