- Ensure policies and standards remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements, business needs, industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS), and emerging threats.
- Lead the annual and ad-hoc review process, working with business and technical stakeholders to incorporate feedback and ensure practical implementation.
- Conduct gap assessments to identify where policies or standards are missing, outdated, or not followed, and develop clear action plans to close those gaps.
- Provide training, awareness, and guidance to internal teams to promote understanding and adoption of security policies and standards.
- Maintain a centralized repository for documentation and ensure proper version control and auditability.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Monitor organizational compliance with internal controls and external obligations, escalating risks or non-compliance where needed.
- Partner with audit, legal, and risk functions to support internal and external audits and certifications.
Cybersecurity Operations Support:
- Contribute to third-party/vendor cyber risk assessments, including reviewing security documentation, analyzing risk levels, and providing recommendations.
- Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity planning activities, helping maintain current documentation, schedule tests, and track remediation efforts.
- Assist in the investigation and documentation of security incidents, working with relevant teams to determine root causes and ensure effective response.
- Participate in ISMS (Information Security Management System) processes including risk assessments, control validations, and reporting.
