Role Overview

Privacy compliance Monitoring team have mission identifying non-compliance by monitoring and assessing whether the employees and services across business for all geographies that handling confidential information such as personal information are complying with the regulations, certifications requirements and supporting the prompt remediate of identified risk factors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishment and management of a monitoring system for compliance with privacy regulations
  • Establish and implement a plan to monitor compliance with privacy regulations
  • Suggest remediations or alternatives to defects identified through monitoring
  • Assess privacy compliance risks and set priorities based on risk level
  • Help mitigate and improve privacy compliance risks

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • More than 12 years of privacy compliance monitoring experience
  • Ability to review and provide guidance on personal information compliance issues.
  • Experience in personal information flow analysis and PI flow-based management
  • Communication skills to effectively collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for taking initiative and solving problems
  • A deep understanding and practical experience with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act are required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of experience and understanding of cloud-based service environments
  • Experienced in personal information protection work at e-commerce, IT companies, etc.
  • Possession of domestic/international certifications related privacy compliance.(CPPG, CISA, CISSP, ISMS-P, ISO27001, Engineer information security, etc)

Document Return Policy

A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email (recruitingops@coupang.com). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail.   4. In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
  5. The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
