Data Center Administrator
Tasks
- Assist with planning design and documentation for power cooling and layer 1 networking
- Coordinate replacement of failed components
- Coordinate supervise facility maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and connectivity issues
- Ensure cable management and environment policies meet standards
- Maintain Data Center cleanliness
- Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base
- Maintain servers, storage, and network equipment
- Participate in problem solving and process improvement
- Perform daily walkthroughs for error lights inventory discrepancies and facility issues
- Perform receiving racking maintenance and recycling
- Provide 24x7 operational support
- Serve as first responder for data center issues
- Support remote hands for physical equipment
- Work with vendors to ensure optimal equipment operation
