IT Security Engineering Manager
Tasks
- Align team objectives to OKRs
- Conduct regular tool reviews
- Configure customize tune and troubleshoot security technologies
- Configure tune maintain security controls
- Create and own security tooling strategy
- Define document and follow security processes
- Document security tool selection process
- Drive process and procedure changes
- Drive security tooling improvements and feature enhancements
- Escalate security tooling issues and critical breaches
- Introduce QBRs tool reviews and roadmaps with vendors
- Isolate contain respond to and recover from incidents
- Maintain security tool health across the estate
- Maintain system and operational documentation
- Maintain ticketing quality and runbooks
- Manage cybersecurity engineering team
- Manage security tooling coverage availability and efficacy
- Manage vendor and MSSP relationships
- Mentor and upskill team members
- Own executive security reporting
- Participate in CAB tool review or architecture review boards
- Provide security engineering guidance and leadership
- Provide security recommendations and respond to information security requests
- Remediate vulnerabilities
- Research new threats and vulnerabilities
- Review configurations and processes for compliance
- Run security tooling governance
- Scripting automation and orchestration for security technologies
