Tasks
- Apply JIT and JEA access patterns
- Configure monitoring and observability with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Engineer core Microsoft services Active Directory Azure AD Group Policy DNS DHCP ADFS PKI certificates IIS
- Execute patch backup and disaster recovery with Azure tools
- Harden RDP patterns and configure Credential Guard and LAPS
- Implement SRE style reliability practices
- Implement security baselines CIS benchmarks and RBAC least privilege
- Integrate with Microsoft Sentinel for detection and response
- Lead major incident technical bridge
- Manage certificates PKI TLS hardening and secrets with Azure Key Vault
- Mentor engineers conduct knowledge transfer and create runbooks
- Own stability performance and capacity of Wintel platforms
- Partner with networking security and app teams on hybrid and private endpoint designs
- Perform root cause analysis and problem management
- Provide technical SME design reviews and sign off
- Support and maintain Windows Server workloads on Azure
- Test restores and disaster recovery playbooks
