Tasks
- Automate provisioning of guest OS and applications
- Coordinate with high profile customers
- Create and maintain configuration documents
- Create and update SOPs
- Create automation playbooks
- Develop and enforce policies for resource allocation
- Develop automated system administration approaches
- Evaluate, maintain, troubleshoot database and application services
- Identify and resolve system issues
- Install, configure, upgrade, support, troubleshoot software
- Integrate applications with directory services
- Maintain Red Hat Satellite and patch content
- Maintain hardware redundancy
- Maintain high availability of GCCS-J systems
- Manage Red Hat Storage and Virtualization
- Manage account access and act as liaison
- Monitor infrastructure with tools like ELK, Dell Open Manage, Ansible Tower
- Monitor system performance
- On-call support for shifts and exercises
- Perform backups and recovery tests
- Perform daily system checks and backups
- Provision hypervisors and storage
- Recommend hardware and software purchases
- Respond to service requests
- Support and travel to customer sites
- Troubleshoot Linux and enterprise application issues
