Hi, I'm Kaitlin Barcala, a passionate Incident Responder based in Huntsville, AL. Currently, I lead the Risk Identification team at Frontier Technology Inc., where we focus on proactive threat hunting to catch potential cyber threats early. Before this, I was a Security Analyst at Diversified Energy Corporation, overseeing the security for one of the largest natural gas operations in the U.S.

My journey in cybersecurity has been dynamic—I’ve led incident response teams at Quantum Research International and worked as an Incident Responder with the US Air Force. My career began with roles in the military, where I was deeply involved in cyber defense and incident response, enhancing system resilience and managing risk for critical missions.

I’m currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Applied Cybersecurity and hold several certifications, including GCFA, GCIH, and Security+. I’m always eager to tackle new challenges and drive improvements in cyber defense.
