The Privacy Engineer will be responsible for ensuring key data privacy regulatory and contractual objectives are implemented and maintained.  The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex and multi-jurisdictional requirements and processes into easily understood requirements for internal stakeholders to follow and implement.  The Privacy Engineer will work closely with privacy personnel and other stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct privacy impact and risk assessments by working with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain standards, procedures, and playbooks to ensure compliance and mitigate privacy risks.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop, embed, and maintain robust privacy controls, practices, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide data protection and privacy subject matter expertise.
  • Drive data protection and privacy projects with internal stakeholders to ensure completion and implement appropriate monitoring and maintenance processes upon project completion.

What We Are Looking for In This Role:

  • Prefer 3+ years of global data protection and privacy implementation experience.
  • 3 + years experience and demonstrated success in general compliance program implementation will also be considered.
  • Prefer Certification by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Privacy Professional (CIPP) in any concentration.
  • Thorough knowledge of data protection and privacy laws, regulations, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience with privacy risk management across jurisdictions, with the ability to assess and anticipate data protection and privacy compliance risks or issues.
  • Experience developing projects and driving to completion while championing organizational buy-in and execution of objectives.
  • Prefer strong technical background with experience in a cloud software development company to include understanding of data analytics, engineering concepts and processes such as: development, design, and architecture of IT technology, data flows, data handling processes, and data lifecycle management.
