Tasks
- Apply patches upgrades and security hardening
- Automate backups restores and patching
- Build and maintain CI/CD automation pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and platform teams
- Define and enforce operational standards and best practices
- Design and maintain highly available fault tolerant database infrastructure
- Ensure database security compliance governance and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate and integrate emerging database technologies
- Identify and remediate platform risks and points of failure
- Implement replication clustering and disaster recovery
- Manage database resource utilization storage compute memory networking
- Mentor DBAs and drive continuous improvement
- Monitor database health capacity and performance
- Optimize database schema, indexing, and queries
- Plan database scalability and growth
- Support deployments migrations and application changes
- Troubleshoot complex database and application issues
