Database Administrator (DBA)
Tasks
- Apply PostgreSQL changes with minimal interruption
- Apply PostgreSQL security best practices
- Coordinate schema deployments with DevOps
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Ensure centralized repositories are clean consistent and optimized for analysis
- Execute database tuning and performance optimization
- Implement high availability and disaster recovery testing
- Integrate data from enterprise systems into centralized data pools
- Model business data for reporting and analytics
- Monitor and alert data pipeline health
- Monitor database and operational health
- Optimize SQL queries and resolve deadlocks
- Own PostgreSQL database operations and availability
- Perform schema updates and patches
