Disaster Recovery and Major Incident Response Manager
Tasks
- Assess incident severity and determine DR activation
- Assign tasks track decisions during incidents
- Coordinate disaster recovery execution during declared events
- Coordinate technical recovery across infrastructure platform and application teams
- Create RCA and postmortems after major incidents and DR events
- Document track and close exercise findings and remediation actions
- Ensure recovery actions follow DR standards policies and tiering
- Escalate recovery risks resource constraints and unresolved issues
- Lead disaster recovery testing tabletop exercises and simulations
- Lead major incident response and escalation
- Maintain 247 readiness for DR tooling playbooks and escalation paths
- Maintain DR and major incident playbooks governance and readiness
- Oversee shift handoffs and documentation continuity
- Own disaster recovery plan and runbook activation
- Present data driven recommendations to IT and business leadership
- Provide status updates to IT leadership business partners and governance committees
- Run real time incident coordination calls
- Serve as point of command during DR and major incidents
- Track remediation actions to completion and provide leadership status updates
- Validate application recovery with owners before restoration
