Network Engineer
Tasks
- Apply network segmentation and Zero Trust security
- Configure routers, switches, and firewalls
- Create and maintain network diagrams runbooks and topology maps
- Document changes using ITIL and change management
- Enforce firewall rules and access control lists
- Implement VLANs VPNs QoS routing
- Implement intrusion prevention using Snort or Suricata
- Integrate hybrid cloud networking with AWS VPC Azure VNet and GCP
- Maintain network uptime and resilience
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts
- Optimize load balancing and failover
- Perform bandwidth and capacity planning
- Support PCI DSS HIPAA SOX and GDPR compliance
- Support migrations and data center buildouts
- Troubleshoot latency packet loss and routing issues
- Upgrade firmware and manage patching
