SITEC - Network Engineer - MacDill AFB
Tasks
- Administer Thin client and Zero client
- Administer multiprotocol routers and multilayer switches
- Advise on network best practices and policies
- Collaborate with vendors on network implementation
- Diagnose complex network problems
- Engineer enterprise data networks
- Establish SATCOM with IP satellite support
- Establish network performance baselines
- Implement iSCSI storage
- Install maintain and manage network infrastructure
- Lead enterprise data and voice and video networks
- Lead network integration of new technology
- Maintain LAN and WAN and VoIP infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory services and DNS
- Manage storage using SAN and NAS
- Monitor PKI and certificate authority
- Monitor network performance and status
- Monitor network test facilities
- Perform cybersecurity risk identification and mitigation
- Plan and model network architecture
- Provide end user and common device support
- Provide endpoint and desktop computing support
- Provide portal and web services integration
- Provide wireless networking support
- Secure data transfer across internal and external networks
- Support application delivery networking
