Tasks
- Communicate using radio with crew and transport providers
- Complete fire suppression training as required
- Follow instructions in structured disciplined environment
- Maintain crew safety and follow OH S policies
- Maintain personal health and fitness for firefighting
- Operate power saws and firefighting equipment
- Perform fire camp base upkeep and equipment maintenance
- Perform physically demanding work in remote extreme conditions
- Plan and take appropriate action during fire response
- Support silviculture trail building and brushing when scheduled
- Suppress wildfires using digging and water delivery methods
- Travel safely using truck boat ATV float plane helicopter
- Work extended hours with limited notice for standby on call response
