Wildfire Crew Member Type 2

Tasks

• Communicate using radio with crew and transport providers
• Complete fire suppression training as required
• Follow instructions in structured disciplined environment
• Maintain crew safety and follow OH S policies
• Maintain personal health and fitness for firefighting
• Operate power saws and firefighting equipment
• Perform fire camp base upkeep and equipment maintenance
• Perform physically demanding work in remote extreme conditions
• Plan and take appropriate action during fire response
• Support silviculture trail building and brushing when scheduled
• Suppress wildfires using digging and water delivery methods
• Travel safely using truck boat ATV float plane helicopter
• Work extended hours with limited notice for standby on call response
