Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst II
Tasks
- Analyze malicious activity and exploited weaknesses
- Analyze network traffic for anomalous activity
- Build workbooks and dashboards
- Correlate security events from multiple sources
- Develop log parsers
- Document and escalate incidents
- Investigate alerts and determine possible causes
- Monitor security events in real-time
- Onboard new clients to SOC services
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Perform threat hunting
- Provide guidance to SOC team members
- Recommend system tuning and security enhancements
- Support incident response and vulnerability compliance
- Support sales with SOC demos and technical answers
- Validate security alerts with customer staff
- Write detection analytics rules
