Junior System Administrator
Tasks
- Analyze Splunk data and dashboards
- Assist with setup and deployment of new hardware and software
- Conduct vulnerability patching
- Document and track support requests using a ticketing system
- Ensure Nessus plugins and software are up to date
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
- Manage Tanium Nessus and Splunk for security monitoring
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for threat detection
- Monitor system performance
- Perform regular maintenance and updates
- Perform routine network scans
- Provide technical support for hardware software and network issues
- Support incident response activities
- Support system hardening and STIG compliance
- Train end users on IT best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Upload CMRS results to high side
