Senior System Administrator – Windows Server & Active Directory
Tasks
- Administer Microsoft 365 Exchange Online SharePoint Online OneDrive and Teams
- Administer VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter
- Create and maintain architecture documentation runbooks and standards
- Define Group Policy strategy and standards
- Define automation strategy using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
- Design and administer Windows Server roles and services
- Design backup restore and disaster recovery strategy
- Enforce authentication standards with MFA and conditional access
- Establish identity and access governance practices
- Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls
- Lead Microsoft 365 migrations and service issue resolution
- Lead audits access reviews logging and compliance support
- Lead complex infrastructure identity and platform escalations
- Lead infrastructure projects migrations and upgrades
- Maintain and troubleshoot domain controllers FSMO roles replication and authentication
- Maintain server and endpoint security baselines
- Manage Microsoft 365 licensing tenant configuration and role assignments
- Manage VM provisioning standards host upgrades patching and capacity planning
- Manage hybrid identity synchronization with Microsoft Entra ID
- Manage storage and networking in virtual environment
- Mentor junior administrators and help desk staff
- Own Active Directory architecture and roadmap
- Participate in on call rotation for critical systems
- Respond to identity and infrastructure security events
- Set Windows Server build patching and hardening standards
- Troubleshoot and remediate virtualization performance and availability
