Tasks
- Administer IAM least privilege governance
- Conduct security tabletop exercises
- Configure jumphost access control
- Coordinate patching for OS and container images
- Detect IAM misconfigurations and privilege escalation paths
- Detect and close configuration drift
- Enforce MFA and session duration policies
- Enforce security hardening standards
- Escalate critical findings to security boards
- Implement AWS Security Hub custom standards
- Maintain CIS benchmark security baselines
- Maintain continuous compliance posture
- Maintain vulnerability register with SLA timelines
- Manage CVE vulnerability lifecycle
- Manage secrets with AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault
- Operate CloudTrail and CloudWatch logs
- Operate vulnerability scanning tools across AWS accounts
- Perform quarterly access reviews
- Prepare audit evidence and respond to auditor RFIs
- Preserve forensic evidence and chain of custody
- Prioritize vulnerability remediation by risk
- Produce quarterly compliance reports
- Remove stale credentials and roles
- Run security incident response lifecycle
- Support security findings review workflows
- Triage security alerts and escalate incidents
- Validate OS images during provisioning
